Worker Bot Codex

NOTE: All bot commands MUST start with * AND must be entered in ⁠bot-channel!

-----BOT COMMANDS----- 

*? - @WorkerBOT will DM you with a list of commands available to you.

*keycode - @WorkerBOT will generate a keycode for you to give a member to become a player (Only Players can use this feature)

*join?- @WorkerBOT will list the Roles that are available. 

*update ? - @WorkerBOT will help you with getting information on an update command. (you can add your B-day here for the BOT to announce) 

*memberinfo - @WorkerBOT will send you a DM with the information I have on file for you (this information will be sent to JUST you). 

*getut? - @WorkerBOT will sed you a DM on how to use the *getut function. This function will return a Unix time code. 

*time - This will give you the CURRENT Unix Time in Central Daylight Time 

*lfp - This command will post that your looking for players to play with. You can leave a message after lfp to give more information. EX: *lfp to play Age of Empires with. 

*lfg - This command will post that your looking for a game to play. You can leave a message after lfg to give more information. EX: *lfg Im free in 30 min. 

*myut? - This will give you information on how to update your time offset from @WorkerBOT's time zone (Default Central Standard Time) and allow for an accurate epoch code when using the *getut command 

*alert on or *alert off - This will turn on or off your ability to receive DM alerts when someone uses *lfp or *lfg command  

Epoch Time = In computing, an epoch is a fixed date and time used as a reference from which a computer measures system time. When used in Discord the viewer will see the time according to what Their computers time zone is set to. 

NOTE: @WorkerBOT's server is in Central Standard time so this is its default time. 

1️⃣ In ⁠bot-channel type *myut? @WorkerBOT will DM you with a "MY TIME" and a "YOUR TIME". If "YOUR TIME" is correct then skip to 4️⃣ If not then continue to the next step. 

2️⃣ In ⁠bot-channel type *update myut [Your offset from Central Standard Time Goes Here] The Bot will send you a DM with confirmation it took your update. An Example of someone who would be 2 hours Behind @WorkerBOT's time would be *update myut -2 NOTE: This information is stored in an SQL by the users discord ID and will remain until that user updates it again. 

3️⃣ In ⁠bot-channel type *myut? and @WorkerBOT will DM you again. Now you should now see that "MY TIME" is still @WorkerBOT's time and "YOUR TIME" should now be the time in your time zone. 

4️⃣ In ⁠bot-channel type *getut 07_08_2024_20_00_00 (07_08_2024_20_00_00 format is MM_DD_YYYY_HH_MM_SS = 2 digit month - 2 digit day - 4 digit year - 2 digit hour - 2 digit minute - 2 digit second ) @WorkerBOT will DM you with the epoch codes and different formats to use. *getut 07_08_2024_20_00_00 will return all formats for 7/8/2024 at 8:00 PM

If all steps where done correctly the from this point on EVERY TIME you use the *getut command @WorkerBOT will DM you the correct epoch time codes to use in any server. 

NOTE: If you are NOT in Central Standard Time Zone you will only have to use the *update myut once UNLESS A) you move to a different time zone or B) you are not in a place where Day light savings time happens. The information is stored in an SQL and is stored by the users Discord ID so if that doesn't change then neither will your setting stored in @WorkerBOT

Below is an Example of what @WorkerBOT should DM you if AFTER you have set your time offset and you were to type in ⁠bot-channel *getut 07_08_2024_20_00_00 

NOTE: "Your Unix Time" (AKA Epoch time code) Will be different if you're NOT in central standard time. This time is Seconds since in Universal time. Your Computer will decode this to match YOUR time in YOUR time zone.
